Job Description:

We are seeking a Project Manager (Heavy Highway - Roadway/Bridge projects) in the central Ohio region.

SUMMARY

1. Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of heavy highway/bridge construction projects.

2. Ensure project goals are achieved within the specified time frame and budget by managing project activities personally or through supervisors.

3. Manage Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Foremen overseeing construction teams, providing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Review project proposals or plans to determine timelines, budgets, procedures, staffing requirements, and resources.

2. Establish work plans and staffing for each project phase, including recruitment or assignment of personnel.

3. Coordinate with project staff to assign duties and responsibilities and clarify authority.

4. Direct and coordinate activities to ensure work progresses on schedule and within budget.

5. Review progress reports and adjust schedules or plans as necessary.

6. Prepare reports for management, clients, or other stakeholders.

7. Provide technical advice and resolve issues in collaboration with project personnel.

8. Coordinate project activities with government agencies and subcontractors.

9. Analyze and execute CPM-based project schedules.

10. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and laws, including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and addressing disciplinary issues.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with 10+ years of relevant experience or training, or equivalent combination.
