Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Boston seeks a Project Manager to lead major building-system projects, manage client relations, and steer multidisciplinary teams from concept through occupancy.

You will drive technical solutions, manage budgets, and engage in interviews to secure lasting partnerships. 5+ years in a project management consulting setting and ABET-accredited degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Professional engineering registration.
• 5+ years in project management consulting environment designing building systems or leading design projects across MEP disciplines.
• Experience working in data center or mission critical facilities preferred.
• Successful management of large and complex projects for sophisticated clients in healthcare, laboratory, infrastructure, higher education, industrial, or R&D facilities.
• Demonstrated leadership on projects and with staff.
• Long history of very satisfied clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead major projects, develop client relationships, and deliver projects according to client needs and budget.
• Lead concept development of building systems and guide a team of engineers from conception through occupancy.
• Participate in project interviews, providing high-level client service and establishing long-term partnerships.
• Keep abreast of market trends and ensure resolution of all technical and service issues.
