Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Portland is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead major building systems projects, develop client relationships, and deliver design solutions from concept through occupancy.

You will guide engineers across MEP disciplines, ensure projects meet client needs and budgets, stay ahead of market trends, and foster long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Professional engineering registration is required.
• 10+ years in a consulting environment designing building systems or leading design projects across MEP.
• Proven leadership on projects and with staff.
• Long history of very satisfied clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead major projects and develop client relationships from conception through occupancy.
• Deliver projects according to client needs and budget, and guide a team of engineers across disciplines.
• Participate in project interviews and provide high-level client service and relationship management.

As a Mechanical Project Manager in our Portland office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy‑efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

The Project Manager will lead major projects, develop client relationships, deliver projects according to client needs and budget, lead concept development of building systems, and guide a team of engineers from project conception through occupancy. This position also includes participating in project interviews, providing high‑level client service, establishing long‑time partnerships, keeping abreast of market trends, and ensuring resolution of all technical and service issues.
