Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee bridge and civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout in the United States. You will plan, organize, and manage resources including employees, equipment, materials, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and client relationships.

This role rewards leadership of heavy civil/bridge projects, ensuring safety, quality, cost control, and schedule adherence while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of supervisory or project management experience in construction.
  • Strong civil construction methods, scheduling, estimating, and cost control.
  • Experience managing craft labor, subcontractors, and field leadership.
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, contracts, schedules and project documents.
  • Excellent communication to build relationships with owners and internal teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with public infrastructure is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365/Teams, Viewpoint Vista, HCSS, P6, CAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead bridge and civil projects from planning through final closeout.
  • Manage resources including labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Serve as the main contact for owners, engineers, architects, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with superintendents, field teams, estimators, and operations leadership.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and updates.
  • Monitor budgets, job costs, margins, change orders, and overall financial performance.
  • Review plans, proposals, specifications, contracts, and project requirements.
  • Support preconstruction efforts including buyout, bid packages, project setup, and early planning.
  • Coordinate project meetings and ensure clear communication between office and field teams.
  • Review pay applications, invoices, subcontractor requests, and project documentation.
  • Partner with safety leadership to promote safe work practices and meet safety goals.
  • Monitor quality control and ensure work is completed to contract standards.
  • Mentor superintendents, project engineers, and project staff as needed.
  • Drive project closeout activities and ensure all outstanding items are completed in a timely manner.

We are working with a well established construction contractor with a strong civil division and a growing backlog of bridge and infrastructure work. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering complex projects safely, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality.

They are looking to add an experienced project leader who can take ownership of civil and bridge projects, manage resources effectively, and act as a trusted point of contact for owners and project stakeholders.

Position Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee bridge and civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all project resources, including employees, equipment, materials, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and client relationships.

This position is best suited for someone who has successfully managed heavy civil, road and/or bridge projects and can lead teams while keeping quality, cost control, schedule, and customer satisfaction at the forefront.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead bridge and civil projects from planning through final closeout

  • Coordinate project meetings and ensure clear communication between office and field teams

  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities across active projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think ahead and plan long term
  • Experience with public infrastructure work is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Viewpoint Vista, HCSS, P6, or CAD is a plus
