Project Manager

As a leading Heavy Civil Contractor, our client is seeking qualified applicants for a Project Manager position within our Heavy & Highway division in the Boston area.

The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, budget, and supervise construction highway and bridge projects from development to completion.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide constructability input and/or actual estimating of projects.
• Oversee setup, scheduling, execution, and closing out of assigned construction projects.
• Coordinate job and resource scheduling with project superintendents, equipment operations, and other HRI personnel as required.
• Delegate and assign tasks to appropriate personnel.
• Organize and direct activities of the construction crew.
• Monitor all steps of the operation to ensure standard quality and operating practices and guidelines are followed.
• Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
• Devise and implement cost‑saving strategies.
• Perform administrative activities such as scheduling crews, completing reports, conducting safety conversations, and complying with other reporting requirements.
• Provide financial leadership for the project and maximize its profitability.

Requirements

• Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related degree.
• Minimum of 8 years of work experience in heavy highway construction.
• Experience in P6 or other CPM scheduling software.
• Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
• Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
• Show punctuality, consistent attendance, and self‑direction for the success of the operations.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
