Project Manager and Bridge Inspection Team Leader

Michael Baker International’s Bridge team is seeking a certified Project Manager and Bridge Inspection Team Leader, in accordance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards, to join our team in Colorado. The role involves project management, overseeing mobilization, site safety, supervision, and inspection report preparation.

The position offers opportunities to work on a diverse portfolio, engaging in the full bridge lifecycle—from inspection and analysis to design and construction. We support cross-training and involvement in impactful projects that enhance bridge infrastructure across Colorado and the Western U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage bridge inspection projects from planning through completion, ensuring goals and deadlines are met.
• Serve as Team Leader, guiding and supervising inspection crews.
• Identify, document, and photograph bridge component defects in the field.
• Maintain knowledge of NDE coding, SIA coding, and repair prioritization.
• Oversee site safety and manage inspection crews and subcontractors.
• Generate inspection reports using relevant software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Coordinate planning, scheduling, and mobilization activities for field personnel and equipment.
• Engage with clients to discuss priorities and ensure timely report submission.
• Provide technical leadership and assist with project management tasks.
• Utilize tools and equipment for bridge evaluations effectively.
• Mentor team members and support their professional development.
• Assist with proposal development and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain technical knowledge through ongoing training and seminars.
