Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager for Washington DC, on-site 100% of the time, with 15+ years in IT and healthcare IT experience. The role focuses on applications migration, ASM, and end-to-end project leadership across vendor and internal teams.

Responsibilities include planning, execution, risk management, architecture alignment, security adherence, and successful delivery of infrastructure migration with minimal downtime. PMP/CSM a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare domain is preferred.
• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver IT projects within IT Services; manage scope, timelines, and vendor management.
• Manage end-to-end IT projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
• Understand the application's technical architecture and ensure alignment among stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Track progress, risks, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Escalate risks to the PMO, Clinical leaders and Market directors.

• Drive infrastructure migration projects with minimal downtime.
• Participate in testing and validation of releases.
• Drive architecture decisions, migration plans, SOPs.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure performance.

Job Description:

Technical Project Manager:

• We are looking for an experienced IT Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver technology projects within our IT Services division. The role involves managing project scope, timelines, and vendor management, while ensuring alignment with business goals and IT standards.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end IT projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
• Understand the application’s technical architecture and ensure alignment among all the stakeholders and team members.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Track project progress, risks, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Escalate the risks and delays to the respective stakeholders, PMO team, Clinical leaders and Market directors.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders and provide project updates.
• Ensure projects comply with IT policies and security standards.
• Drive infrastructure migration projects, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity
• Participate in testing and validation of new releases, patches, and configuration changes
• Drive architecture decisions, migration plans, and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth application performance and system reliability

Total Experience: 15+ years in IT

• Relevant Experience: Proficient and experienced driving designing , architecture, and application support, preferably in the healthcare domain
• Domain Expertise:
• Deep understanding of Healthcare IT systems, workflows, and regulatory requirements. Oncology related applications knowledge is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with radiologists, clinical teams, and healthcare vendors

Technical Skills:

• Infrastructure Migration: Hands-on experience in planning and executing server, database, and application migrations across environments (on-prem to cloud or hybrid)
• Application Support: Installation, upgrades, patch deployments, and troubleshooting across test, staging, and production environments
• Infra Knowledge: Strong understanding of servers, databases (SQL Server, etc.), networks, SSL certificates, system upgrades, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
• Monitoring & Performance: Proactive monitoring of system performance, availability, and reliability

Communication & Coordination:

• Excellent communication skills for vendor coordination, infrastructure team collaboration, and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including internal IT, external vendors, and clinical stakeholders

Compliance & Security:

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, data security protocols, and clinical IT policies

Qualifications:

• 15 years of project management experience in IT services.

• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Pay Range Minimum: 105,000k

Pay Range Maximum: 184,000k

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
