Job summary

Approach Talent is seeking a project leadership role to manage municipal water and wastewater projects in Virginia. You will oversee upgrades, pipelines, lift stations, and pump stations, while directing contract administration, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.

The position emphasizes building strong relationships with municipal clients, engineers, and stakeholders, and delivering complete project lifecycle from startup through commissioning to close-out.

• Strong skills in project controls and cost management.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Job description

• Salary $140,000 - $180,000, Sign on bonus + 25% annual bonus
• Projects size $10m - $105m
• All work is within the state of Virginia
• All Insurance benefits, PTO & 401(k)

You will be working for embedded Mid-Atlantic contractor. Meaning you will be joining a serious Virginia Water/Wastewater operation with a ton of resources on offer for you.

Meaning you won't be saying \"we don't have the equipment\" or \"we need to sub contract that piece of work\" all the work these guys do is self performing within a fully staffed team.

What You’ll Do

• Drive Project Success: Oversee complex municipal projects, including water/wastewater treatment plant upgrades, large-diameter pipelines, lift stations, and pump stations.
• Master the Operations: Lead contract administration, CPM scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and monthly progress reporting.
• Build Key Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact, cultivating trust and collaboration with municipal clients, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Deliver Complete Projects: Manage total project lifecycle, including startup, testing, commissioning, and final close-out.
