Job summary

Approach Talent is seeking a Project Manager for a growing contractor specializing in water and wastewater. You will lead complex municipal projects ranging from design to startup, with emphasis on delivering on-time, on-budget results.

You will manage contract administration, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting while coordinating with engineers and municipal clients. This role places you into a fully staffed, high-capacity team handling projects from $5M to $200M.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex municipal projects in water/wastewater, including treatment plant upgrades, large-diameter pipelines, lift stations, and pump stations.
• Lead contract administration, CPM scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and monthly progress reporting.
• Serve as the primary point of contact, building trust with municipal clients, engineers, and stakeholders.

Job description

• Salary $140,000 - $180,000 (Sign on bonus + project milestone, profitability and annual discretionary performance bonuses)
• All standard insurance benefits + 401(k)
• 20% annual bonus

You will be working for a contractor that is in growth mode. They have hired a Superintendent, Project Executive and a Project Manager in the past month.

This means you won't be replacing anyone and instead you will be heading straight into a fully staffed team.

All the work you will be involved in will be within Water/Wastewater. This isn't just a small water division. You will be working in a team that handles projects anywhere from $5m to $200m.

What You’ll Do

• Drive Project Success: Oversee complex municipal projects, including water/wastewater treatment plant upgrades, large-diameter pipelines, lift stations, and pump stations.
• Master the Operations: Lead contract administration, CPM scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and monthly progress reporting.
• Build Key Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact, cultivating trust and collaboration with municipal clients, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Deliver Complete Projects: Manage total project lifecycle, including startup, testing, commissioning, and final close-out.
