Job summary

Verrus, a respected electrical contractor in Wisconsin, seeks an Electrical Project Manager to lead complex electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will coordinate with field operations, estimating, procurement, and internal teams; manage budgets, schedules, and contractual requirements; ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery; and maintain strong customer relationships on multi-site assignments.

  • Review drawings, specifications, plans, and other project documentation.
  • Identify and resolve project conflicts, scope concerns, schedule impacts, and other issues.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure materials and equipment are available.

Job description

Travel: Primarily local/regional projects with occasional travel

An established electrical contractor is looking to add an experienced Electrical Project Manager to its team. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex electrical construction projects while working closely with field operations, estimating, procurement, and other internal teams.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction project management and be comfortable taking ownership of projects from preconstruction through completion. This individual should be commercially minded, organized, and confident managing customers, project teams, schedules, budgets, and overall project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical construction projects from planning through closeout
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers, subcontractors, vendors, field leadership, and internal teams
  • Manage project budgets, contracts, schedules, documentation, and overall financial performance
  • Monitor project progress to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget
  • Maintain project quality standards and ensure work meets contractual and technical requirements
  • Review drawings, specifications, plans, and other project documentation
  • Identify and resolve project conflicts, scope concerns, schedule impacts, and other issues affecting execution
  • Coordinate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure materials and equipment are available when required
  • Work closely with field leadership to coordinate manpower, materials, sequencing, and project priorities
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and proactively manage expectations
  • Support change management, forecasting, project reporting, and closeout activities
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing electrical construction projects
  • Experience working on complex commercial, industrial, institutional, or similarly challenging electrical projects
  • Strong understanding of construction schedules, project sequencing, and critical path activities
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  • Strong financial, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Comfortable working between the office and active construction sites
  • Willingness to travel periodically as project requirements dictate
