Project Manager

Location: Springfield, MA (On-site)

Contract: 6 month

Base pay range

$70.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Overview

Our Financial client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex, cross functional IT initiatives, ensuring on time, cost effective, high quality delivery. This role will drive planning, execution, communication, and stakeholder alignment across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor financial and technology project progress and ensure timely, cost effective, high quality execution, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Lead cross functional technical project teams to develop and refine integrated project plans and execute implementation plans.
  • Ensure all project team members understand project goals and objectives, the current plan and schedule, and critical path activities (and those that may become critical path).
  • Provide continuously updated and balanced status reporting on project risks, issues, costs, and value to stakeholders.
  • Align functional plans with approved project plans and ensure high quality execution.
  • Ensure alignment between overall project strategy and day-to-day tactical execution.
  • Proactively identify issues, resolve conflicts, and communicate project related issues to senior executive management as appropriate.
  • Develop and execute an overall communication strategy, including field strategy and broad internal and external communications.
  • Lead broad scope projects with medium to long term focus, across varying durations, sizes, and complexities.
  • Navigate ambiguity and drive results in a dynamic environment.
  • Manage project budget, timeline, resources, and scope through effective prioritization throughout the life of the project.
  • Lead project teams through all phases of the development life cycle, including requirements gathering and analysis, design, build, pilot, implementation, and ongoing service.
  • Collaborate with peers to deliver robust, business focused solutions.
  • Drive lessons learned and knowledge retention for use in future initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of project management experience, including managing and driving the execution of complex, cross functional, strategic technology and financial projects.
  • Experience operating in both Agile and Waterfall project environments.
  • Proven ability to understand and support overall project goals and remove obstacles to successful completion.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to impact and influence senior leaders, peers, and vendor partners.
  • Ability to summarize complex situations clearly and adapt quickly to change.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and secure buy in at all organizational levels.
  • Strong collaboration skills and active listening, with the ability to work across multiple functional areas.
  • Resourceful, flexible, and resilient leadership style.
  • Strong independent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
