Job summary

IOC Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to own projects from pre-construction through closeout across multiple locations. You will manage traveling superintendents, subcontractors, and the P&L, delivering projects on time and on budget.

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager who knows how to take ownership, keep teams moving, and deliver exceptional results across multiple project locations.

In this high-impact role, you’ll lead projects from pre-construction through closeout, manage traveling superintendents and subcontractors, oversee financial performance, and serve as a trusted partner to our clients. Lead Projects from Start to Finish
  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning through to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with superintendents and subcontractors to manage daily on-site activities
  • Lead pre-construction planning, scope reviews, budgeting, and scheduling with stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
Build Strong Client Relationships
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, subcontractors, and other project partners
  • Lead client meetings and provide clear, concise updates on schedule, budget, risks, and overall project performance
  • Anticipate concerns, communicate proactively, and develop solutions that strengthen client confidence
  • Maintain alignment among all stakeholders from kickoff through final turnover
Own the Financial Performance
  • Manage project budgets and P&L with a strong focus on profitability, cost control, and quality
  • Track project costs, commitments, change orders, and financial performanceWork closely with finance and leadership teams to provide accurate forecasts and reporting
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, protect margins, and reduce unnecessary costs
Keep People and Resources Moving
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate realistic project schedules
  • Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor resources across multiple states and job sites
  • Balance competing project priorities while minimizing delays, downtime, and travel-related costs
  • Hold project teams accountable while creating a collaborative, solutions-focused environment
Manage Contracts and Reduce Risk
  • Oversee contract negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and minimize risk
  • Implement risk management strategies to identify potential issues early and develop mitigation plans
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and contractual obligations
Lead a Strong Safety Culture
  • Make safety a visible and consistent priority across every job site
  • Ensure employees and subcontractors follow established safety procedures
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA requirements and other applicable industry standards
  • Partner with field leadership to identify hazards and correct unsafe conditions promptly
Experience
  • Minimum 7-10 years of construction industry experience, including project management roles
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects across multiple locations, with ownership of P&L
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Advanced certifications such as PMP, LEED, or OSHA 30 a plus
