Job summary

EnviroVantage Inc. in Portland, ME is seeking a Project Manager to take ownership of environmental remediation projects from award to completion, coordinating with foremen and subcontractors.

The role requires a minimum of five years of PM experience in construction or environmental remediation, a valid driver's license, ability to pass a federal background screen, and OSHA 40/HAZWOPER and OSHA 30 certifications (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Manager experience in construction or environmental remediation.
• Experience managing federal government contracts preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a project from award through completion.
• Establish objectives, milestones, budgets, and schedules.
• Procure supplies and materials for project buy-outs.
• Oversee foremen/superintendents to plan, direct activities on schedule.
• Monitor production and project costs to ensure timely completion.
• Review daily manpower and progress reports for each project.
• Maintain a 3-week look-ahead for all projects.
• Interact with customers and lead negotiations on scope discrepancies.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors proactively.
• Oversee change orders with estimating and finance.
• Ensure project close-out package is complete and ready for billing.

EnviroVantage is looking for Project Managers in the Portland, ME area.

Essential Functions:

• Take ownership of a project upon award and see through to completion
• Establish project objectives, milestones, budgets, and project schedules
• Procure supplies and materials to complete a project buy-out
• Oversee and provide guidance to Foremen/Superintendents to plan, organize and direct activities related to schedule, labor, equipment, materials and disposal on their jobs
• Monitor production and project costs to ensure each job is completed on schedule
• Review and sign off on daily manpower and progress reports for their jobs
• Continually update a 3-week look ahead for all projects
• Interact with the customer on a regular basis and be the lead on negotiation for any scope discrepancy or issues on the job site
• Proactively develop relationships with subcontractors
• Oversee all change order requests and submit in conjunction w/ estimating and finance
• Responsible to ensure project close out package is completed, and job can be billed in full

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years working as a Project Manager in the construction and/or environmental remediation fields
• Experience managing federal government contracts preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Must be able to pass a federal government background screen

Certifications:

• OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training. If not current, willing to get certificate within 30 days of hire
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training. If not current, willing to get certificate within 30 days of hire
