Construction Project Manager – Multifamily

Compensation: $120,000–$180,000 annually
About the Opportunity
A well-established general contractor is expanding its Phoenix-area team and seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager. This organization provides general contracting, construction management, and design-build services across the Western United States.
The ideal candidate will bring meaningful multifamily construction experience and a strong understanding of the complete project lifecycle. Candidates do not need to have independently led every project from start to finish, but they must have hands‑on experience across each major phase from preconstruction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout
- Support estimating, budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews, and project planning
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, change orders, requests for information, and submittals
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, schedules, documentation, and overall financial performance
- Partner closely with field leadership to maintain safe, efficient, and well‑coordinated operations
- Identify project risks early and develop practical solutions that protect schedule, budget, and quality
- Lead project meetings and provide clear, timely communication to stakeholders
- Manage punch‑list completion, turnover documentation, and final project closeout
- Build productive, long‑term relationships with clients and project partners
Qualifications
- Demonstrated project management experience in multifamily construction is required
- Experience with commercial, industrial, mixed‑use, hospitality, or other relevant construction is a plus
- Meaningful experience across preconstruction, active construction, turnover, and closeoutStrong knowledge of construction documents, contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
- Strong leadership, organization, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency with standard construction project‑management and documentation software
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered
