Your impact

At Jacobs, our Program Management and Construction Management (PM/CM) team helps clients turn vision into reality by delivering complex projects and programs that create lasting value. As a Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading project delivery, representing the owner’s interests, and driving successful outcomes across planning, design, construction, and project closeout.

In this client-facing leadership role, you’ll oversee multiple project assignments, manage multidisciplinary teams, and guide projects through every phase of delivery. You’ll be responsible for achieving project objectives related to cost, schedule, quality, contracts, and stakeholder coordination while building strong client relationships and supporting successful program execution.

  • Lead overall project delivery, including cost, schedule, quality, contract administration, and project reporting.
  • Manage projects from concept development through design, construction, completion, and closeout.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, scopes, procedures, controls, and contract documentation.
  • Oversee consultant and contractor performance throughout project delivery.
  • Review and manage consultant invoices, contractor pay applications, and change orders in coordination with project controls teams.
  • Coordinate the resolution of construction field issues, requests for information (RFIs), and design conflicts while maintaining compliance with project requirements and contract documents.
  • Monitor project performance and identify variances related to schedule, budget, and project objectives.
  • Lead project meetings, including progress and coordination meetings, and oversee meeting documentation during design and construction.
  • Resolve complex design, construction, and stakeholder issues to support project success.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for one or more project management teams.
  • Support the Deputy Program Manager in program delivery and operational objectives.
  • Maintain proactive, consistent communication with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration among owners, consultants, contractors, and internal team members.
Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field; consideration will be given to candidates with other degrees combined with relevant construction management experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Project Manager within an owner, architecture, engineering, environmental, or construction organization.
  • Project management experience that includes direct oversight of consultants and contractors.
  • Experience delivering expansion and/or new construction projects through both design and construction phases for projects valued at more than $20 million and at least 50,000 gross square feet.
  • Certified General Contractor registration with the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Project Management Professional (PMP, PgMP, or PfMP) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction processes, building systems and components, construction technologies, contract management, and project delivery methods.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and client relationship skills.
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent capital projects within a large program environment.
  • Experience supporting public-sector, institutional, higher education, healthcare, aviation, or other complex infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working within structured project controls and reporting environments.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse project teams and drive collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting program-level initiatives and strategic project delivery objectives.
