Job summary

Jacobs in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead project delivery on client sites. You will oversee the project team from concept through completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget results in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes managing scope, schedules, costs and safety, with responsibility for developing budgets, reports, contracts and schedules to meet client objectives. A strong leadership track record and PE/RA are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in an Engineering, Environmental or Construction organization.
  • Experience managing projects of $50 million+.
  • Advanced working knowledge of contract management, pre-design, pre-construction, renovations, demolition, and new construction building systems/components and technology.
  • Experience with various the disciplines, trades and systems related with an emphasis on full project delivery.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the project team and the overall project delivery, from conception through completion in accordance with program objectives.
  • Provide oversight and facilitate resolution to complex project related challenges.
  • As the onsite Owners Representative, ensure progress and technical performance, material management, schedule, cost, scope and safety of the team.
  • Develop and deliver on project scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules to achieve client objectives.

We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Project Manager who thrives when people are in sync and projects are running not just on time but within budget. Based at the client site in Baton Rouge, LA, you’ll be responsible for managing the project team and the overall project delivery, but also for the management of the project development from conception through completion in accordance with program objectives. You will manage and provide oversight and facilitate resolution to complex project related challenges.

As the onsite Owners Representative, you’ll be responsible for ensuring not only the progress and technical performance of a project, but also the material management, schedule, cost, scope and safety of the team. By developing and delivering on project scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules, you’ll help our team achieve our client’s objectives. Your keen ability to multi-task, communicate effectively and tackle projectchallenges will allow you to thrive in our fast‑paced environment.

Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture

Ideally, You’ll Also Have
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) (preferred but not required)

The base salary range for this position is $125,000.00 to $175,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
