Job summary

Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is a technology consulting services company seeking a Project Manager for the PMO to lead initiatives from initiation to closure.

You will guide governance, resource planning, budgeting, risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement, and vendor coordination on technology and non-technology projects. The role requires strong experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methods, plus PMI/PMBOK familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Project.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage changes, vendor relationships, and contracts.
• Prepare status reports and PMO dashboards.
• Conduct gap and root-cause analysis to issue corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with PMO guidelines and stakeholder communications.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and disseminate progress and decisions.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with objectives.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Project Management Office (PMO) and lead projects from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, implementation, and closure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in project governance, resource planning, budget management, risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement, and vendor coordination. Candidates with experience managing both technology and non-technology projects are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage medium to extra-large complexity projects throughout the full project life cycle.
• Define project scope, objectives, schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Develop and manage project plans, resources, and cross-functional teams.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks and dependencies, resolve blockers, and escape issues when necessary.
• Manage project changes, vendor relationships, contracts, and deliverables.
• Prepare project status reports, track key performance metrics, and maintain PMO dashboards.
• Conduct gap analysis and root cause analysis to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure project deliverables comply with applicable federal, state, agency, and PMO guidelines.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and communicate project progress, risk, and decisions to all levels of the organization.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of formal Project Management experience.
• Experience managing projects using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of PMI/PMBOK guidelines and project management standards.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project and project planning/reporting tools.
• Demonstrated experience in scope management, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, change control, and resource allocation.
• Strong vendor management, stakeholder communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience managing technology and/or non-technology projects at a Level II or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in state government, regulatory environments, or public-sector/service-oriented organizations.
• PMP, LSSBB, or CSM certification.
• Graduate degree in Project Management, MBA, MPH, or a related field.
