Job summary

SGPS ShowRig in North Las Vegas, NV seeks a Project Manager to lead live entertainment projects from concept through completion, coordinating clients, internal teams, vendors, and crews to deliver safe, efficient productions.

You will develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans; read CAD drawings; collaborate across design, fabrication, rigging, automation, and logistics; manage risks and communicate status to stakeholders; travel as required.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated project management experience in live entertainment.
  • Strong knowledge of rigging, staging, automation, fabrication and technical production workflows.
  • Ability to create and modify basic technical drawings and layouts.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, rigging plots, site plans and production specs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage projects involving concert touring, automation, staging, rigging, festivals, and other live productions from planning through completion.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, resource requirements and execution plans based on client and production needs.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal technical teams to identify practical solutions using inventory, fabrication, automation, staging and rigging systems.
  • Create, modify and review basic technical drawings, layouts and concepts to communicate requirements.
  • Read and interpret CAD drawings, rigging plots and site plans for production needs.
  • Coordinate across departments to ensure successful project execution.
  • Lead project kickoff and coordination meetings and communicate status and actions to stakeholders.
  • Oversee onsite operations including load-in, installation, rehearsals, and loadout.
  • Identify project risks and coordinate appropriate solutions.
  • Support Sales with scopes of work, estimates and technical information.
  • Represent SGPS ShowRig professionally with clients, engineers and vendors.

Position Summary

The Project Manager serves as the primary leader for assigned live entertainment projects from initial concept through completion. This position manages a broad range of productions, including concert touring, automation, staging, rigging, festivals, and other technical live-event projects. The Project Manager coordinates clients, internal departments, vendors, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, technical requirements, and onsite execution to deliver safe, efficient, and successful projects. This role requires strong live entertainment project management experience, technical knowledge, and the ability to create, modify, and interpret basic technical drawings and layouts to develop practical solutions that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage projects involving concert touring, automation, staging, rigging, festivals, and other live entertainment productions from initial planning through completion.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, and execution plans based on client and production needs.
  • Work with clients and internal technical teams to identify practical solutions using SGPS ShowRig inventory, custom fabrication, automation, staging, and rigging systems.
  • Create, modify, and review basic technical drawings, layouts, and concepts to communicate project requirements and support client needs.
  • Read and interpret CAD drawings, rigging plots, technical specifications, site plans, and other production documentation.
  • Coordinate across departments, including Technical Design, Engineering, Fabrication, Rigging, Automation, Logistics, Operations, and Sales, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Lead project kickoff and coordination meetings and communicate project status, changes, challenges, and action items to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Oversee onsite operations as required, including load-in, installation, system verification, rehearsals, show support, and loadout.
  • Identify project risks related to safety, scheduling, technical requirements, logistics, equipment, or site conditions and coordinate appropriate solutions.
  • Coordinate third-party vendors, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, freelance personnel, and external manufacturers as necessary.
  • Support Sales with scopes of work, estimates, pricing proposals, and technical information.
  • Partner with Accounting and Accounts Receivable regarding billing schedules, invoicing, and project-related financial matters.
  • Represent SGPS ShowRig professionally with clients, production personnel, engineers, inspectors, vendors, and other business partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of project and Company objectives.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated project management experience within the live entertainment industry is required, including experience with concerts, touring productions, staging, rigging, automation, festivals, or similar technical productions.
  • Strong working knowledge of live entertainment production environments, including rigging, staging, automation, fabrication, and technical production workflows.
  • Ability to create and modify basic technical drawings and layouts to communicate project concepts and meet client needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, technical drawings, rigging plots, site plans, and production specifications.
  • Experience managing projects from initial client discussions and estimating through execution and closeout.
  • Strong client relationship management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, subcontractors, production personnel, and cross‑functional internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of project budgeting, estimating, procurement, and resource planning.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify technical, logistical, and operational challenges before they impact project execution.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and travel as required by live entertainment production schedules.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during event load‑ins, rehearsals, shows, and loadouts.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds at times, with team assistance for heavier loads.
  • Ability to navigate stairs, temporary structures, stages, warehouses, and event sites as required.
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity sufficient to review technical drawings, inspect equipment, and work safely in production environments.
  • Ability to work irregular schedules, including extended shifts, nights, weekends, and travel when required.
Working Conditions

This position is performed in a combination of office, warehouse, production, and live‑event environments. The role requires regular computer and technical drawing work, collaboration with internal departments and clients, and occasional onsite presence during project preparation, installation, rehearsals, shows, and loadout. Work environments may include exposure to noise, moving equipment, outdoor weather conditions, and changing production schedules. Travel to other SGPS ShowRig facilities, venues, and project locations may be required based on business needs.
