Job description

An established architecture and design firm is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take a key leadership role on a major, high-profile mixed-use development currently underway in South Florida.

The Project Manager will have significant responsibility for Construction Administration across multiple high-rise hospitality and cultural components within the larger development. This individual will serve as a primary point of contact throughout the project, leading internal teams, coordinating consultants and contractors, managing schedules and resources, and ensuring quality and design intent are maintained through construction.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an architectural professional with strong high-rise experience who wants to play a significant role in the delivery of a complex, highly visible development.

Role Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling, and managing projects through all phases of development. Reporting to senior project leadership, the PM will serve as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.

The PM will oversee staffing, project schedules, design development, construction documentation, and Construction Administration while ensuring the efficient use of resources and successful delivery of project goals.

This individual will also provide leadership and mentorship to project staff, coordinate QA/QC reviews, oversee documentation standards, and help foster a collaborative, high-performing project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex architectural projects through design, documentation, and construction with minimal oversight.
  • Take a leadership role in Construction Administration for high-rise buildings within a major mixed-use development.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between clients, ownership, consultants, contractors, and internal architectural teams.
  • Direct Construction Administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, field observations, change orders, and pay applications.
  • Manage project schedules, staffing plans, deliverables, milestones, and resources.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, and consultant teams.
  • Monitor construction progress and help resolve technical and field-related issues.
  • Ensure construction maintains design intent, quality standards, code compliance, and project requirements.
  • Identify and proactively address project risks throughout all phases.
  • Lead internal QA/QC reviews and maintain documentation standards.

Qualifications

  • 12-20+ years of professional architecture experience.
  • Professional Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Significant experience managing complex architectural projects through design and construction.
  • Strong Construction Administration experience required.
  • High-rise project experience strongly preferred.
  • Hospitality, mixed-use, cultural, or other complex large-scale project experience highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage project teams, consultants, contractors, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, detailing, building systems, and architectural documentation.
  • Experience overseeing QA/QC processes and maintaining high documentation standards.
  • Excellent client-facing, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, organization, judgment, and problem-solving abilities.

This is a rare opportunity to take a leadership role on a major South Florida development and oversee the delivery of architecturally significant high-rise hospitality and cultural projects through construction.

The firm offers a collaborative environment with a relatively lateral organizational structure, direct exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to have meaningful ownership of complex projects rather than being limited to a narrow phase or function.

A hybrid work schedule is offered, and relocation will be considered for qualified candidates.
