Job Title: Commercial Construction Project Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $95,000 - $135,000 + Benefits (Commensurate with experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, driven Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial building projects in the Kansas City Metro market. In this role, you will manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring completion is safe, on time, and within budget. You will act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, sub-contractors, architects, and field personnel.

What you Bring:

• Project Planning & Execution: Oversee logistics, delegate responsibilities, and manage project lifecycles for diverse commercial builds (e.g., corporate offices, retail, healthcare, or light industrial).
• Budget & Financial Management: Track project spending, manage cost control systems, process change orders, and optimize profitability while maintaining strict quality standards.
• Schedule Management: Establish and update comprehensive project schedules to meet critical deadlines and milestones.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain proactive communication and alignment between clients, architects, subcontractors, and the field operations team.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce company safety policies, minimize project risks, and ensure all permits and licensing comply with Kansas City regional ordinances.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor progress and performance on-site to ensure craftsmanship complies with design specifications and high industry standards.

Project Manager Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3–5+ years of experience as a Project Manager specifically within the commercial construction sector. Local market experience in the Kansas City metro is highly preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (equivalent field experience will be evaluated).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or MS Project).
• Leadership: Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills to manage diverse labor pools and subcontractor markets.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel to project sites across the Kansas City metro area.
