Position Overview

Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of large-scale natural gas infrastructure and capital projects, including high‑pressure transmission pipelines, compressor stations, meter stations, and storage facilities. This role will oversee multidisciplinary project teams and ensure compliance with FERC 7C certification processes, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permitting requirements, and internal standards for HHDs and construction execution.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex, multi-million-dollar capital projects from concept through commissioning, with a strong understanding of regulatory, environmental, and stakeholder interfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of natural gas facility and pipeline projects across multiple asset portfolios.
  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle — feasibility, permitting, design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
  • Coordinate with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other regulatory bodies to ensure environmental and permit compliance for all construction activities.
  • Oversee FERC 7C filings, manage data requests, and support certificate conditions throughout project delivery.
  • Define and control project scope, schedule, cost, and quality, ensuring adherence to company objectives and capital efficiency.
  • Lead multidisciplinary internal and external project teams, including engineering, operations, environmental, land, legal, and construction personnel.
  • Provide executive‑level project reporting, including cash flow forecasts, risk assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Direct and review detailed design efforts including HHD crossings, complex tie‑ins, and constructability assessments.
  • Manage contractor performance, oversee procurement strategies, and ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.
  • Deliver clear written and verbal communications to senior leadership, government agencies, and public stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating project outcomes and identifying opportunities for process and cost optimization.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or related Engineering field (required).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in natural gas transmission, facilities, or midstream capital projects.
  • Proven track record leading large, complex capital projects ($50MM+) from inception to closeout.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on permitting and environmental compliance.
  • Working knowledge of FERC 7C applications, certificate conditions, and related regulatory processes.
  • Hands‑on experience managing Horizontal Directional Drill (HHD) design and execution.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to direct cross‑functional teams and interface with executives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Ability to travel 10–30% across project regions as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with engineering, design, and construction of compressor stations, pipelines, and meter stations.
  • Familiarity with internal project controls, reporting tools, and capital management systems.
  • Experience in developing capital justifications and economic analyses for project approval.
