Job summary

InfraSource in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan and oversee projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and resources. You will manage documentation, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communications across the project life cycle.

  • Proficient in financial practices and principles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in project office setup.
  • Create and communicate the project plan including safety orientations and training.
  • Develop, maintain and update project documentation.
  • Maintain project file system (physical and electronic).
  • Maintain customer contact to obtain project requirements.
  • Ensure stakeholder notification and buy-in.
  • Estimate costs and help develop budgets.
  • Understand the project contract and change orders.
  • Close out projects per policy.
  • Track accruals weekly/monthly and report.
  • Schedule work and crew using MS Project/P6.
  • Review invoices from subcontractors for accuracy and production.
  • Forecast cost/scope/resource daily/weekly/monthly.
  • Explain variances to forecast at month end.
  • Coordinate with accounting to ensure revenue is recorded.

About this Role

InfraSource is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. This Project Manager plans and oversees projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The Project Manager plans and designates project resources, assists in preparing budgets, monitors progress and keeps stakeholders informed the entire way. Typical tasks include project initiation through project closeout, providing upper management with daily/weekly/monthly status reports, forecasting monthly cost and revenue, maintaining a project-specific schedule, and analyzing project budgets and earned value.

What You'll Do
  • Assist in project office set-up
  • Create and communicate the project plan: safety orientations, training, etc.
  • Develop, maintain and update project documentation
  • Develop and maintain project file system (physical and electronic)
  • Maintain customer contact to obtain project-specific requirements
  • Ensure stakeholder notification and buy-in
  • Estimate costs based on provided estimating tools and or work with others to develop budgets
  • Full understanding of the project contract
  • Ensuring Change Orders are documented per the contract
  • Complete project close-out per company policy
  • Accruals are tracked weekly/monthly and turned in at the end of every week
  • Scheduling work and crew makeups on MS Project/P6
  • Weekly manager and cost per day reports Review invoices from subcontractors to confirm accuracy and production
  • Work with the Accounts Receivable and Billing Department to make sure all revenue is accounted for and accurate
  • Forecasting cost scope schedule resources daily/weekly/monthly
  • End of month explanations for variances to forecast
  • Work with internal support groups to set up projects in the accounting system
What You'll Bring
