Job summary

Ventures Unlimited Inc in Harrisburg, PA seeks a senior Project Manager to lead a complex EHR/EMR implementation project. You will drive initiation through closure, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communications.

The ideal candidate has 7–9 years in project management, a valid PMP, and proven success delivering health IT projects that moved from paper charts to electronic records.

Qualifications

• Must reside in Pennsylvania (PA).
• Active PMP certification for a minimum of 5 years.
• A valid copy of the active PMP certification MUST be submitted with the resume.
• Available to work 2 days per week onsite in the Harrisburg, PA office.
• 7–9 years of relevant Project Management experience.
• Experience implementing an Electronic Health Record (EHR) / EMR system.
• Experience with a paper-based charting system prior to EHR implementation.
• Experience in health informatics and/or health IT is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EHR implementation from project initiation through final implementation and closure.
• Develop and maintain detailed Project Management Plans, project schedules, milestones, budgets, communication plans, and deliverable matrices.
• Manage the complete project lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, training, and implementation.
• Track project progress against schedule, scope, budget, quality and business objectives.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies using RAID+ logs.
• Coordinate activities across IT Application, Data Warehouse, Informatics, Solution Management, Networking, Security, and Service Management teams.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and other project participants.
• Lead requirements discussions and ensure business and technical requirements are properly addressed.
• Manage organizational change management activities and support adoption of new business processes and systems.
• Coordinate system testing, peer reviews, quality assurance activities, training, and orientation sessions.
• Prepare and present project status reports, metrics, recommendations, and presentations to project teams, sponsors, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
• Monitor and report project budgets, estimates, timelines, milestones, and resource capacity.
• Manage scope changes according to established Change Management processes.
• Maintain strong relationships with customer representatives, program leadership, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain project documentation using SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
• Mentor less-experienced project management staff when required.
• Plan and coordinate project-specific training and orientation.
• Deliver presentations and coordinate proposals as required.

• Must possess an active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification for a minimum of 5 years.

Project Overview

This is a senior-level project management role requiring strong experience with EHR/EMR implementations, health IT, health informatics, organizational change management, stakeholder management, and large-scale enterprise implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the EHR implementation from project initiation through final implementation and closure.
