Job summary

The Building People is hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead facility operations and maintenance services for a major federal office and warehouse complex in Fort Worth, Texas. This high-visibility role oversees HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, BAS, grounds, and building automation systems, and leads onsite technicians and supervisors.

You will manage staffing, coordinate subcontractors, maintain safety and compliance, and track activity in CMMS to ensure the facility runs

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of authority for all contract and operational matters, representing the company in all communications with the customer.
• Direct and oversee day-to-day building operations and maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, vertical transportation, grounds, and building automation systems (BAS).
• Build and manage a staffing plan, including hiring, training, and supervising onsite supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
• Coordinate subcontractors and specialty trade partners as needed to fulfill service requirements.
• Own the quality control program, ensuring high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a strong, responsive working relationship with the customer's facility management representatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs, training requirements, and all applicable codes and regulations.
• Track and report on maintenance activity using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for the full scope of building operations – including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, vertical transportation, grounds, and building automation systems – across a large multi-building campus. You will lead a team of skilled tradespeople and supervisors, manage the customer relationship, and ensure the facility runs safely, reliably, and efficiently.
