POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Project Manager

Reports To: Regional Business Unit Leader

FLSA Status: Exempt

Pay Range: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 Annually DOE

Full/Part Time Status: Full Time

Summary

Manages and oversees all aspects of marine repairs to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and budgetary parameters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Day‑to‑day management of IMIA production schedule, including subcontractor production efforts and priorities.
  • Authorized to commit IMIA contractually on assigned Project(s) within prescribed limitations.
  • Overall financial performance with respect to budget.
  • Timely submission of invoices and tracking of payments.
  • Manages CFR reporting requirements for both required reporting and identification and proper documentation of growth and new work opportunities, along with schedule impacts and delays.
  • Ensure adherence to bid letter and PO requirements with respect to schedule, quality and other contractual performance requirements.
  • Ensures participation in all required daily/weekly project integration meetings and completion of resulting action items.
  • Ensure in‑house reporting (i.e. PSR, schedule updates, Fin Log, etc.) is provided to upper management as required.
  • Ensure contractually required status reports (i.e. weekly status, material status, closeout reports) are provided to customer.
  • Attend weekly IMIA progress and PSR meetings; ensure all personnel with action items are held accountable and realistic need dates are set and held.
  • Attend required project meetings (Weekly Project Review, CO Brief, etc.).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
  • Oversight of the project production and support personnel assigned to the project.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & ATTRIBUTES
  • Knowledge of pricing and costing related to marine repairs.
  • Knowledge of budgets and funding limitations.
  • Knowledge of contract management including proposal review.
  • Ability to provide technical advice and resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to exercise diplomacy and tact with internal and external constituents.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products and associated software applications.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, in engineering, project management, or equivalent experience may qualify.
  • Education in Finance is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the marine industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management Experience.
  • Must have extensive and comprehensive understanding of financial terms used on project management.
  • Must be proficient in Excel and other electronic databases used in project management.
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Most work performed under pressured, fast‑paced conditions; frequently requires overtime.
  • Minimal exposure to extreme temperatures, high noise levels, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, dusty conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, hazardous machinery.
