Description
BELFOR Project Managers focus on restoration or construction. The qualified candidate will be an industry expert, serving as a local, regional, or national resource for large, complex, and high-profile projects. They will participate in BELFOR Cat teams following hurricanes and other regional damage recovery efforts. Project Managers may also become BELFOR estimators.
Responsibilities:
- Understand all BELFOR service lines thoroughly.
- For construction track: understand scope, schedule work, communicate professionally, ensure safety, and maintain quality control.
- Develop core project management skills such as time management, budgeting, scheduling, site supervision, customer contact, communication, quality control, safety, documentation, and change orders.
- Continuously update knowledge of current and past construction practices.
- Review daily project requirements, document progress, and notify managers of challenges.
- Provide field documentation, photo logs, graphs, and sketches for TPA projects.
- Perform skills related to Advanced Fire Damage, Water Damage, and Carpenter roles.
- Qualify vendors and subcontractors, guiding them through the qualification process.
- Manage fixed bid and rate/material projects.
- Understand BELFOR invoicing procedures and provide necessary documentation.
- Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections, keeping vehicles in good condition.
- Maintain attention to detail and safeguard property.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Work under time constraints, including nights, weekends, and periodic travel.
- Report time worked and resources used accurately and promptly.
- Attend BELFOR safety and operations training as required.
Requirements:
- Assist other Project Managers and volunteer for CAT duty when possible.
- Advance knowledge in technical services (Restoration) and building codes/regulations (Construction).
- Serve as role models for Superintendents.
- Sell and upgrade additional services on projects.
- Communicate daily with Estimators regarding project status, timelines, and issues.
- Continuously improve project management skills.
- Complete training to manage projects on time, on budget, with customer satisfaction.
- Construction focus: plan, coordinate, and oversee employees and subcontractors, read blueprints, and manage projects over $1M.
- Restoration focus: direct small crews, manage projects over $1M, and develop restoration plans.
- Attend BELFOR training courses to improve skills.
- Manage large crews and multiple projects through crew leaders and assistants.
