Job summary

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor.
  • Experience in ground-up apartments and mixed-use projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction budgeting and forecasting.

We are partnering with an established Central Ohio general contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing multifamily team.


This contractor has been building for 80+ years and has developed a strong portfolio throughout Central Ohio, including market-rate apartments, mixed-use developments, affordable housing, senior living, and complex urban residential projects.


This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager looking for a long-term home with an employee-owned contractor that emphasizes teamwork, career development, quality, safety, and client relationships.


What You'll Do


  • Manage multifamily projects from preconstruction through closeout

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, cost forecasts, and financial reporting

  • Manage subcontractor bidding, buyout, contracts, and performance

  • Partner closely with Superintendents and field teams to drive project execution

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation

  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors

  • Lead owner and project meetings and communicate project progress

  • Identify and mitigate potential cost, schedule, quality, and constructability risks

  • Manage project teams and help develop junior team members

  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle

  • Ensure projects meet expectations for safety, quality, schedule, and profitability


What We're Looking For


  • 4+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor

  • Experience with ground-up apartments, mixed-use, senior living, affordable housing, or similar residential projects

  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control

  • Experience managing subcontractor buyout and contract administration

  • Strong knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project closeout

  • Ability to effectively manage project teams and multiple stakeholders

  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
