Job summary

Gioia Concrete Construction, Inc. seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead large industrial and commercial concrete projects in Columbus, OH.

You will plan, coordinate startup, monitor progress, and ensure client satisfaction from conception to closeout. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience with self-perform concrete or commercial contractors, proficiency with Procore and Excel, strong communication, and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering
• 5+ years of project management experience with a self-perform concrete or commercial construction contractor
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, work independently, and multitask to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Coordinate job transition and start-up process
• Champion jobsite safety and manage project risk
• Manage cost and schedule
• Oversee the work of direct reports
• Maintain positive client relationships
• Perform initial contract review, cost coding, and preliminary budget
• Collaborate with Operations to develop an accurate project plan
• Create change orders to satisfy customer expectations
• Prepare, submit, and document all material submittals
• Review drawings and specs for RFIs
• Order and track project materials
• Maintain project records throughout construction
• Manage buyout of concrete, rebar, and major project materials
• Manage subcontractors including scope compliance and dispute resolution
• Identify and propose value engineering opportunities
• Prepare owner pay applications, monthly billings, and cash flow projections
• Visit each project site regularly and attend weekly project coordination meetings
• Manage project closeout, including punch lists, retainage, and closeout documentation

General Description:

The Project Manager provides overall management direction on all types of projects, including large industrial and structural projects. Requirements:
