Job summary

Gioia Concrete Construction, Inc. is seeking an Estimator/Project Manager to build strategic relationships with commercial and industrial clients in the Columbus area. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM or Engineering
• 3–5 years estimating/PM experience in concrete or self-perform
• Proficiency with takeoff and project management software
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Valid driver’s license and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Develop leads and sales of viable and profitable construction projects
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to assess scope and conditions
• Estimate and bid work from required drawings and specifications, create RFIs, prepare accurate takeoffs, prepare proposals
• Perform initial contract review, cost coding, and preliminary budget
• Review drawings and specs for RFIs
• Coordinate job transition and start-up process
• Prepare, submit, and document all material submittals
• Collaborate with the Operations Team to develop and track an accurate project plan and budget
• Monitor productivity, material cost, and schedule
• Order and track project materials
• Communicate information, solutions, and opportunities to the entire team
• Create change orders to satisfy customer expectations
• Champion jobsite safety and manage project risk

General Description:

The Estimator/Project Manager builds strategic relationships and business opportunities with commercial and industrial clients seeking commercial concrete construction services.This will also include managingthe commercial, industrial, and structural concrete projects from an operations standpoint with project planning, schedules, budgets, and coordination. This position serves as the primary point of contact with the client, and monitors construction and financial activities in collaboration with the Superintendents.This job will also entail preparing cost estimates by analyzing project specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements andsubmittingbid proposals to our customers.This position requires complete ownership of the project budget and ongoing communication with the Operations Team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering
• Proficiencywith takeoff and project management software (e.g., Bluebeam Revu, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore)
• 3–5 years of estimating and/or project management experience with a concrete or self-perform contractor preferred
• Desire to collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, inclusive work environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Current valid driver’s license and pre-employment drug screen
