Job summary

Vipaving is seeking a Project Manager to lead and develop large paving projects in Christiansted. The role involves managing all phases of projects to meet scope, budget, and timeline requirements while ensuring compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of construction methods, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.

Job description

As a Project Manager at Virgin Islands Paving, you will be responsible for leading, and developing all aspects of large paving projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet the scope, budget and timeline requirements. This individual must possess strong analytical, organizational, planning, and communication skills with a commitment to high standards, integrity, and ethics.

Responsibilities:

Plan and develop all aspects of large paving projects from start to finish.

Communicate the status, challenges, budgets, and timelines with required team members.

Works with the Division Manager to obtain the personnel and equipment resources required to properly staff the project

Collaborate with stakeholders, project engineers, and superintendents to ensure compliance with local codes, and regulations, while meeting customer specifications and safety standards.

Monitors and reports project cost and schedule performance; recommends corrective actions if needed

Skills & Experience:

Extensive knowledge of construction methods and materials, costing, scheduling and estimating

Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others

Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities x Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong team player
