Job summary

Branscome is seeking a Paving Construction Project Manager to lead diverse paving projects across the Hampton Roads area from Williamsburg, Hampton, to Virginia Beach. The role reports to the Director of Paving Operations and requires vigilant cost/schedule control and a focus on client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, with at least one year construction supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with complete scope highway projects from $10M to $20M in contract value.
• Knowledge of OHSA regulations and applicable codes.
• Experience with HCSS HeavyJob software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet the requirements of the Goal Zero safety objectives annually.
• Develops an effective plan in cooperation with the Superintendent and/or Project Team for constructing the project and determines the means and methods necessary.
• Communicates the planned means and methods to appropriate parties to ensure understanding of goals and responsibilities.
• Monitors costs and schedules; ensures on-time project delivery within budget.
• Maintains daily records of significant project facts, events, and conditions.
• Manages punch lists and closeout to ensure nonconforming work is corrected and documented.
• Facilitates inspections and testing to meet quality and regulatory requirements.
• Reports to project manager with updates on progress, plans and potential cost/schedule impacts.
