Responsibilities

A Project Manager is expected to demonstrate solid knowledge of the construction process – including preconstruction coordination, planning, estimating, scheduling, logistics, cost control, and reporting, contract administration, safety and construction operations – and to help lead the successful execution of projects in coordination with senior project leadership. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with project and field operations teams, preconstruction staff, consultants, and other project stakeholders while contributing to a respectful, collaborative, and high‑performing team culture.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Lead construction projects or multiple major project scopes from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring alignment with project objectives related to cost, schedule, quality, safety, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Direct coordination between owners, consultants, subcontractors, field leadership, and internal stakeholders to drive effective project execution issue resolution, and alignment of project staffing and operational resources.
  • Lead procurement, subcontractor buyout, and contract administration processes, including negotiations, scope alignment, and strategic procurement decisions.
  • Establish and maintain project controls and administrative procedures to ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and change management across project teams.
  • Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, contingency management, cost reporting, pay applications, and change negotiations.
  • Drive proactive identification and resolution of project risks, operational challenges, constructability concerns, and schedule impacts.
  • Oversee project scheduling coordination efforts, integrating procurement, logistics, sequencing, and operational milestones into overall execution strategies.
  • Facilitate meetings with senior project stakeholders, providing clear communication regarding project performance, risks, financial impacts, and resolution strategies.
  • Oversee implementation of quality management procedures and collaborate with field leadership to maintain project standards and execution quality.
  • Direct project closeout activities, ensuring successful turnover, documentation completion, warranty management, and owner transition processes.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements related to local business participation, workforce development, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Mentor and support development of project team members by fostering accountability, collaboration, professional growth, and knowledge‑sharing.
  • Contribute to strategic special projects as requested.
  • Promote a strong culture of jobsite safety and operational excellence through active engagement with field leadership and project teams.
  • Pursue continued professional development through leadership training, industry education and engagement with organizations that align with the company’s goals, values and commitment to the communities we serve.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent trade experience.
  • 5‑12 years of construction experience required.
  • Demonstrated success leading all phases of delivery, including estimating, scheduling, logistics planning, subcontractor procurement, cost control, financial reporting, contract administration and construction operations.
  • Advanced understanding of construction contracts and subcontract administration, including preparation and negotiation of subcontracts, review of pay applications, and management of change orders and claims.
  • Experience developing and managing project budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, and quality control.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities with experience developing team members.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with owners, subcontractors, vendors, community members and other project stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Procore, Building Connected, Plan Grid, Textura, eBuilder, Microsoft Suite or similar platforms strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 30‑Hour certification, First Aid/CPR and Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) certification preferred.
