We’re working with a well-established Chicago General Contractor that’s looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their interiors team.
The company originally built its name in tenant interiors and has since grown into a $650M+ contractor with both interiors and ground-up work across healthcare, corporate office, multifamily, and other commercial sectors.
This is a great opportunity for someone with commercial interiors/TI experience who wants to join a highly respected Chicago GC with great benefits, a collaborative culture, and plenty of room to grow.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage commercial interior projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Oversee budgets, schedules, contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, owners, and internal teams
- Manage subcontractor procurement and buyout
- Lead owner and project meetings
- Monitor project costs, schedules, and overall performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and trade partners
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager with a GC
- Strong commercial interiors and/or tenant improvement experience
- Experience managing projects from start to finish
- Knowledge of construction budgeting, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and subcontractor management
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
