Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience serving as the lead Project Manager on commercial interior construction projects
• Experience managing office TI and interior fit-out projects
• Experience overseeing high-end commercial finishes and detailed buildouts
• Proven ability to manage projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Strong financial management including budgeting, forecasting, billing, and cost control
• Experience negotiating subcontracts and managing procurement
• Direct client-facing experience with owners, architects, consultants, and design teams
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial interior construction projects from kickoff through final completion
• Own project budgets, forecasting, cost management, and financial performance
• Prepare and manage monthly billings, pay applications, subcontractor invoices, and change orders
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, property managers, and subcontractors

• Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions
• Oversee occupied-space renovations with minimal disruption to operations

Our client, a growing and highly respected commercial general contractor in the Washington, DC metro area, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team.

This firm specializes in high-end commercial interiors, delivering premium office tenant improvements and Class A workplace environments for some of the region's most prominent landlords, tenants, and ownership groups. Their reputation has been built on exceptional client service, quality craftsmanship, and long-standing subcontractor relationships.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven background managing commercial interior construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, while thriving in a fast-paced environment where quality, communication, and accountability are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial interior construction projects from kickoff through final completion

Required Qualifications

• Proven ability to independently manage projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, billing, and cost control
• Experience negotiating subcontracts and managing the procurement process
• Direct client-facing experience with owners, architects, consultants, and design teams
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining client relationships that lead to repeat business opportunities
• Knowledge of the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia commercial office market
• Business development mindset with the ability to identify and cultivate growth opportunities
• Experience managing and mentoring junior project management staff

Please note:

This is an onsite position. Team members are expected to work from the office and project sites five days per week.
