Job summary

Michael Page US is assisting a Chicagoland general contractor specializing in high-end corporate interiors and tenant improvements. The role oversees projects from preconstruction to closeout, coordinating design teams, clients, and field personnel, and driving schedules, budgets, and client relations.

The Successful Applicant will have 5+ years of project management with a general contractor, expertise in corporate interiors, and proficiency with industry tools.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience with a general contractor.
  • Experience managing corporate interiors or tenant improvement projects.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction practices.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Negotiate and administer subcontract agreements.
  • Coordinate design teams, clients, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Lead owner meetings and provide regular project updates.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to contract requirements.

  • Identify and resolve project risks proactively.
  • Maintain strong client relationships resulting in repeat business.
