Job Overview

RL Canning is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our IT team. This role is responsible for managing complex projects from concept through completion, including developing project plans, schedules, budgets, deliverables, communication plans, risk logs, issue logs, status reports, and performance metrics. The Project Manager implements risk management plans, including identification, impact analysis, resolution, and tracking activities, along with proper documentation and communication. This role effectively communicates with sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams, while leading and managing multiple project teams focused on process improvement, with an emphasis on clinical process improvement.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $110.000.00 to $115,000.00 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package detailed in the “Benefits Offered” section of the job description. The salary wage offered within this range will be influenced by factors such as work location, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. During the hiring process, your recruiter will provide more specific information about the salary range, considering these factors. Compensation and benefits remain in the Company’s sole discretion and may be modified at the Company’s absolute discretion, consistent with applicable law, until they are paid.

In this role, you will
  • Collaborate with leadership across departments, including Finance, to implement plans for operational process redesign.
  • Establish and embed best operational practices in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
  • Work with business units to identify and implement high‑functioning, role‑based workflows.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement with leadership by providing training in data use and other process improvement skills.
  • Teach and support assigned staff in using the Plan‑Do‑Study‑Act (PDSA) process, or similar quality improvement models, to drive overall process transformation and stronger operational management.
  • Track the progress of business units in achieving performance targets using standard dashboards; review performance data and trends with managers, identify activities needed to support goal achievement, and maintain and communicate dashboard updates.
  • Ensure programs are implemented consistently with their designs, supporting staff and leadership in effective program implementation.
  • Manage the day‑to‑day operational aspects of each project, ensuring project documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Plan change management tasks required to accept, adapt, and support initiatives, including effective communication, adequate training, and documentation.
  • Incorporate best practices, internal policies, and security and regulatory requirements into projects as needed.
  • Understand and prepare process capacity, capability, and gap analysis summaries.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to support and achieve business objectives.
For this role, you will need
  • Thorough knowledge of project management techniques, including experience planning and tracking project scope, time, and budget.
  • Strong knowledge of business operations and experience leading project teams.
  • Experience and knowledge in operational process redesign initiatives.
  • Knowledge of improvement methods such as Lean Six Sigma or Systems Theory.
  • Knowledge of project phases, including the ability to provide appropriate communication, deliverables, and security required at each stage of the project lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document requirements, designs, communication plans, project plans, status updates, and issues, as well as conduct meetings and formal presentations to sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or comparable project management tools.
  • Ability to work independently while simultaneously managing multiple complex projects at different phases.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems using a variety of research and analytical techniques.
  • Ability to manage diverse project teams, including internal employees, vendors, consultants, or a combination thereof.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Five years of experience in business administration or project management.
  • One year of work experience using MS Project or a comparable tool required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience facilitating process or quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lean Six Sigma training or certification preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support client projects and corporate responsibilities.
