Job Overview

RL Canning is seeking an experienced Document Management Application Analyst to join our IT team. This role is responsible for the maintenance of assigned applications, providing immediate application and systems support, and overseeing the completion of projects, system enhancements, and vendor upgrades. The incumbent also delivers ongoing application support and assistance to end-users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package detailed in the “Benefits Offered” section of the job description. The salary wage offered within this range will be influenced by factors such as work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. During the hiring process, your recruiter will provide more specific information about the salary range, considering these factors. Compensation and benefits remain in the Company's sole discretion and may be modified at the Company's absolute discretion, consistent with applicable law, until they are paid.

In this role, you will

  • Design, build, and document application changes for assigned applications.
  • Consult with end-users on projects, designs, and builds; test software against detailed specifications.
  • Identify, analyze, track, and report on project issues, keeping management informed of project activity and status.
  • Learn new applications associated with or connected to assigned applications and oversee the completion of tasks related to integrated system functions.
  • Coordinate the resolution of end-user calls, determining appropriate action by investigating and analyzing reported hardware and software problems.
  • Evaluate and assist senior management in the implementation of system upgrades, including analyzing functional requirement documentation through interviews with key personnel to understand current system use, and identifying and encouraging procedural changes within user departments.
  • Refine sample test plans for conversions, interfaces, and applications; assist in developing go-live support plans and provide post-implementation application support.
  • Maintain tables, files, profiles, code sets, and related system data.
  • Train less experienced personnel and assist in developing departmental education and training materials; monitor and review procedural documentation.
  • Attend applicable vendor application training classes; learn and assist with other applications as directed.
  • Provide after-hours support for assigned applications per schedule.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to support and achieve business objectives.

For this role, you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of work experience as a Business or Systems Analyst.
  • Three (3) years of work experience in requirements gathering, design, configuration, and testing.
  • Healthcare industry experience required.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong knowledge and experience with software testing.
  • Experience documenting processes and procedures.
  • Experience conducting application training for end-users.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to train junior staff and foster collaboration among co-workers.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with prompt response times to phone calls, emails, and customer requests.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Expertise working with large, integrated applications.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize projects and tasks effectively.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support client projects and corporate responsibilities.
