This role focuses on optimizing health care revenue cycle systems, ensuring smooth integration, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions that improve financial performance, billing, and collections. The position offers a US base salary of $110,000 to $115,000 per year plus benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT, clinical, financial, and operations teams to analyze, design, and implement system solutions for revenue cycle.
  • Oversee analysis, documentation, and modification of revenue cycle processes within existing systems.
  • Serve as primary contact for troubleshooting system issues to minimize disruptions to revenue cycle.
  • Perform data analysis and create reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate and recommend new system technologies to enhance efficiency and revenue cycle performance.
  • Monitor system performance, perform updates, and manage deployment of billing-related changes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and industry standards in revenue cycle management and healthcare IT.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on timelines, milestones, and KPIs.
  • Perform additional tasks to support business objectives.

Job Overview

RL Canning is seeking an experienced Financial Patient Accounting Analyst (Cerner) to join our IT team. This role is responsible for optimizing and maintaining health care revenue cycle systems, ensuring smooth integration, troubleshooting, and implementation of solutions that enhance financial performance, billing, and collection processes within the healthcare domain.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110.000.00 to $115,000.00 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package detailed in the “Benefits Offered” section of the job description. The salary wage offered within this range will be influenced by factors such as work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In this role, you will
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, clinical, financial, operations) to analyze, design, and implement system solutions that support the revenue cycle.
  • Oversee and manage the analysis, documentation, and modification of revenue cycle processes within existing systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting system issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruptions to the revenue cycle.
  • Perform data analysis and create reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within the revenue cycle.
  • Evaluate and recommend new system technologies and tools to enhance operational efficiency and improve revenue cycle performance.
  • Monitor system performance, perform updates, and manage the deployment of system changes related to billing, coding, claims, and reimbursements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as industry standards, in revenue cycle management and healthcare IT systems.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management regarding project timelines, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to support and achieve business objectives.
For this role, you will need
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in systems analysis, with a strong focus on healthcare revenue cycle management.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, including billing, coding, claims management, and reimbursement systems.
  • Proficient in analyzing and optimizing healthcare IT systems and software applications, specifically those related to the revenue cycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead a team in troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CMS) and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and Health Information Management (HIM) technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with Health Information Systems (HIS) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) software, particularly in a revenue cycle context, preferred.
  • Certifications in Health Care IT, Revenue Cycle Management, or related fields (e.g., CPAR, RHIA) preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support client projects and corporate responsibilities.
