Job summary

Goodall Brazier partners with a leading design-build healthcare contractor in California to recruit an Estimator/Project Engineer. The role spans preconstruction and project engineering, overseeing the bid process from scope review to client delivery while supporting day-to-day project administration.

You will work with Project Managers and Superintendents to manage subcontracts, RFIs, and change orders, and maintain Procore budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field required.
• At least 1 year of related experience required.
• Healthcare facilities construction experience preferred.
• Procore and Microsoft Office proficiency required.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage the bid process from initial scope review through proposal delivery.
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor bids for pricing, scope conformance, and material quality.
• Develop final proposals and budgets for management approval, coordinating with Project Managers on schedules.
• Set up and maintain project information in Procore, including budgets, directories, and admin documentation.
• Coordinate submittals, RFIs, and change orders, keeping long-lead and critical path items on track.
• Attend OAC and design meetings, staying closely aligned with Superintendents on RFI/CE issues.
• Maintain project files and documentation for compliance, including OSHPD-related records.
• Perform site visits and job walks as needed, and support post-construction closeout documentation.

Goodall Brazier have recently partnered with a leading design-build general contractor specializing in healthcare facilities construction to assist in their search for an Estimator/Project Engineer to join their team in California. This contractor delivers design-build projects for healthcare clients from initial bid through final closeout and is looking to add a key member to their team to support their continued growth across the state.

As an Estimator/Project Engineer, you will play a dual role spanning preconstruction and project engineering. You will help manage the bid process from scope review through client delivery, while also supporting the day-to-day administration and coordination of projects once they break ground. Working closely with Project Managers and Superintendents, you will contribute to both the technical and operational success of each project.

Day to Day Responsibilities of this role:

• Valid driver's license, with willingness to travel to job sites as required
