Job summary

Everus Construction Group, Inc. is seeking an entry-level project team assistant to support day-to-day tasks on an electrical construction project. You will work with a Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Superintendent to learn project coordination, design exposure, and document control.

The role offers practical experience in electrical systems, planning, scheduling, and cost management, with opportunities to develop drawing skills and professional relationships on site.

Qualifications

• This position requires two years at an accredited college toward a B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist a project team consisting of a Project Manager, Project Engineer, and a Superintendent on an electrical construction project.
• Gain exposure to electrical system design, cost estimating, planning, scheduling, materials procurement, cost control, and quality management.
• Assist with drawing and document coordination including sending drawings to bidders, organizing project documents, and distributing documents to all parties.
• Prepare submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, bid proposals, and other documents as required.
• Develop and maintain project matrices for document control; track RFIs, drawings, change orders and other documents using Excel.
• Develop drawings for installation of electrical components.
• Interface with architects, trade contractors, vendors, and management teams.
• This position requires driving to sites.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

JOB SUMMARY

This position assists the project team with day-to-day tasks for a successful project.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Two years at an accredited college or university toward a B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist a project team consisting of a Project Manager, Project Engineer, and a Superintendent on an electrical construction project.
• Candidate will be exposed to electrical system design, cost estimating, planning, and scheduling, materials procurement, cost control, and quality management.
• Assist with drawing and document coordination which includes sending drawings to bidders via FedEx, keeping project documents organized, and distributing documents to all parties involved with a project.
• Prepare submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, bid proposals, and other documents as required.
• Develop and maintain project matrices for document control. Track RFI's, drawings, change orders and other documents using Microsoft Excel.
• Develop drawings for installation of electrical components.
• Ability to interface with architects, trade contractors, vendors, and management teams.
• This position is required to drive.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Good organizational and planning skills are essential.
• Strong computer competence including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD required.
