Job summary

Sundt is seeking a Project HSE Manager to support project teams with health and safety resources and to drive HS&E programs on site. The role includes progressing from entry to senior levels based on experience, with emphasis on safety walks, orientations, and plan management.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of safety experience, strong communication, and integrity, and can use MS Office and safety software. Physical requirements and safety sensitivity are noted in the description.

Qualifications

• Certifications and licenses: Preferred, but not required- STSC, CHST, ASP, CSP.
• Education: high school diploma minimum, bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: At least one year of full-time project safety experience.
• Good written and verbal communication (proper grammar, spelling, etc).
• High level of integrity for reporting incidents and events, as well as upholding company policy, personal activities, etc.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Special skills: able to use various computer software and apps proficiently, bi-lingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduits frequent safety walks/inspections of the project and adjacent property.
• Conducts site-specific safety orientations.
• Creates, updates, maintains, and facilitates the Project Environmental Management Plan.
• Creates, updates, maintains, and facilitates the Project Safety Management Plan.
• Facilitates the Sundt Safety Management and Illness Prevention Systems Manual on the project.
• Manages emergencies, incidents, and workers' compensation claims.
• Reviews and files project safety documentation.
