LVI Associates, an internationally recognized engineering and environmental consultancy, seeks a Geotechnical Project Manager to lead investigations, analyses, and design for landmark land development, infrastructure, and energy projects across the United States.

Ideal candidate has 6+ years of geotechnical consulting, PE license, and strong leadership, client management, and reporting skills. Expect ownership of projects, mentoring junior staff, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering is required.
  • Licensed PE is required.
  • Master's degree with geotechnical emphasis is preferred.
  • 6+ years of geotechnical consulting experience.
  • Experience with geotechnical investigations and construction observation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead geotechnical projects from proposal through construction.
  • Perform geotechnical analyses and design for various project types.
  • Design and evaluate deep foundations, earth retention, excavation support.
  • Oversee field investigations and construction observation.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, specs, proposals, and docs.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulators, and teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support technical development.

Position Overview

This opportunity is ideal for a Geotechnical Engineer who is ready to take the next step toward senior project leadership.

You will play a highly visible role managing geotechnical projects, leading investigations, performing engineering analysis, coordinating with clients, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting the successful delivery of technically challenging projects.

The position combines hands‑on engineering, project management, client interaction, and leadership development, creating an exceptional platform for long‑term career growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead geotechnical projects from proposal through construction.
  • Perform geotechnical analyses and engineering design for a variety of project types.
  • Design and evaluate deep foundation systems, underpinning solutions, and excavation support systems.
  • Oversee field investigations, subsurface exploration programs, and construction observation activities.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, recommendations, proposals, and construction documents.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, financial performance, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support technical development across the team.
