Job summary

BLE in Greenville, SC is seeking an experienced Project Geologist to join the Hydrogeology Group. The role focuses on managing technical projects, budgets, and clients with 5–15 years of experience, and offers mentoring opportunities to junior staff.

You will support environmental investigations, groundwater monitoring, and risk assessments within a multidisciplinary team serving solid waste, mining, and power clients. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or Hydrogeology.
• 5–15 years of experience in environmental consulting or related geological work.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, subsurface geology, hydrogeology, and soil/rock mechanics.
• Experience with drilling, sampling, and logging in field investigations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional Geologist (PG) licensure or ability to obtain licensure.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert interpretation of hydrogeologic analytical data for investigations and remediation projects.
• Lead geologic investigations including site reconnaissance, drilling oversight, sampling, and field data collection.
• Prepare technical reports, maps, and presentations for clients and regulators.
• Oversee field operations, data collection, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Manage multiple projects, budgets, and schedules.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate resources across teams.
