Job summary

Haley & Aldrich is seeking a Senior Technical Expert/Program Manager, Geologist to lead nationwide environmental programs from multi-office hubs including Greenville, SC, Charlotte, NC, and Raleigh, NC. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field.
• 16+ years of related work experience including direct project management.
• Professional registration or certification, as applicable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently lead multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve project and client goals and objectives.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to details, and financial acumen.
• Proficient computer literacy skills including use of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite and related software.
• Familiarity with industry-standard geologic modeling software.
• Active Professional Geologist license.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership for complex environmental site investigations, remediation programs, or regulatory strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects and programs, including coordinating teams of project managers and technical experts focused on delivery, quality, financial performance, and safety.
• Develop team technical competence, knowledge of codes and regulations, and professional standards of practice for assigned tasks.
• Balance management with technical strategy and client advocacy, ensuring project delivery meets standards and expectations.
• Hold primary responsibility for program success including contract negotiations, pricing, structure, planning, execution, resourcing, schedule, and finances.
• Collaborate with project teams, provide oversight, and uphold health and safety procedures.
• Regularly communicate with clients, partners, subcontractors, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Plan and manage the development of geologic site characterization plans and oversee field investigation programs.
• Lead evaluation and interpretation of site characterization data, develop conceptual site models, and assess impacts to project goals.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety protocols and promote safety behaviors.
• Serve as the technical lead for site investigation, remediation and regulatory strategy for nationwide projects.
