Job summary

PSI Pax, Inc. is seeking a Project Financial Analyst, Journeyman to join our team at Patuxent River, MD. The role focuses on budget execution, funding tracking, and financial reporting using Navy ERP while ensuring compliance with DoD regulations.

The successful candidate will analyze costs, prepare forecasts, and collaborate with senior analysts to optimize funding across multiple appropriations. DoD clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and less than three years’ experience in the functional area above OR
• Associate degree and four years’ experience in the functional area above OR
• Nine years’ experience in the functional area above and HS Diploma
• DoD clearance

Responsibilities

• Provides technical project budget execution at lowest task level.
• Manages project funding acceptance and execution.
• Oversee financial activities such as tracking the flow of funding through commitments, obligations, expenditures, return and validating financial transactions in Navy ERP against division financial tracking tools.
• Analyze financial execution data and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare cost-related insights to report variance in monthly plan versus actual expenditures and obligations.
• Develop expense and obligation plans at the lowest activity, sponsor, appropriation level.
• Knowledge of DoD Federal Management Regulations (FMR), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and PPBE process.
• Utilize Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) business and financial systems, daily, to extract, analyze and interpret business and financial reports.
• Monitor execution, benchmarks, and carry-over funding for all systems/projects consisting of multiple funding appropriations and provide recommendations to assist with meeting expenditure requirements.
• Supports more experienced analysts, applying financial data analytics techniques to aggregate data and report and Branch levels
• Supports and guides junior analysts, applying analytical techniques and using excel based financial tracking
