Job summary

Mizuho Financial Group Inc. seeks an Associate for Portfolio Management in Project Finance to independently manage a diverse transaction portfolio across oil & gas, renewables, infrastructure, power and mining.

You will review contracts, cash flow models, budgets, and borrower requests to form recommendations on internal ratings and approvals. Responsibilities include preparing internal/external reports, monitoring credit quality, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration; MBA/MS/LLM preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Portfolio Management for Project Finance transactions.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the credit quality of borrowers and report changes to Credit Department and Management.
• Prepare recommendations on borrower requests with credit impact analysis.
• Conduct ongoing transaction monitoring and update credit ratings as needed.
• Coordinate loan administration with the back office and support Origination.
