Job summary

Mizuho Financial Group Inc. seeks a Project Finance professional to lead structuring, originating and executing transactions across Natural Resources and Power & Infrastructure sectors.

You will develop relationships with clients, market for mandates, and work with internal partners to deliver advisory and lending solutions. The role emphasizes financial modeling, credit analysis, and cross‑selling Mizuho services while collaborating with global Project Finance teams and groups across Capital

Qualifications

• BS/MS or LLM degree with a strong quantitative background.
• 1-3 years of experience in Project Finance.
• 1 year of credit experience.
• Foundation in financial modeling.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Establish a foundation in natural resources, renewables, energy transition and power markets.
• Prepare marketing materials and proposals, deal origination, attending bank meetings and pitching for mandates.
• Review and negotiate legal documentation with clients and structure transactions.
• Develop cash flow models and perform financial statement analysis for deal execution.
• Collaborate with Investment Banking and the Financial Sponsors Group; cross-sell other Mizuho services.
