Job summary

Child's Play, Inc., a Dallas-based playground equipment provider, is seeking a detail-oriented Project / Field Ops Coordinator to support planning, coordination, and execution of installation projects.

You will serve as the central contact between sales, customers, installers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects finish on time, within scope, and to customer satisfaction. Proficiency in Spanish and strong communication are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit purchase orders to installers, manufacturers, and vendors.
  • Track orders through delivery using project tracking software.
  • Review orders for accuracy, specifications, and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate order status, shipping updates, and scheduling to customers.
  • Maintain organized project records and documentation.
  • Process warranty claims and coordinate parts replacements.
  • Assist with maintaining overall project schedules and timelines.
  • Coordinate delivery and installation schedules with customers, contractors, and installers.
  • Collect and maintain installation manuals, drawings, and maintenance documentation.
  • Monitor installation changes and communicate updates to the sales team.
  • Coordinate engineered drawings and color approvals.
  • Assist with resolving site-related issues and post-delivery discrepancies.
  • Attend trade shows, customer events, and training classes as requested.
  • Coordinate annual supplier and contract pricing updates.
  • Answer and route incoming calls on the company phone line.

Job description

Child's Play, Inc. is a Dallas-Fort Worth based company and the exclusive Burke playground equipment representative for North Texas, providing playground equipment, safety surfacing, park amenities, and custom playground design and installation to schools, municipalities, and communities across the region. For decades, the company has built its reputation on long-term relationships with the districts, cities, and organizations it serves, and is now investing in the people and systems to grow that reputation across a larger footprint.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project /Field Ops Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of playground and installation projects. This role serves as a central point of communication between sales, customers, installers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and to customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Order Management
  • Prepare and submit purchase orders to installers, manufacturers, and vendors.
  • Track and monitor orders through delivery using project tracking software.
  • Review orders for accuracy, specifications, and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate order status, shipping updates, and scheduling to customers.
  • Maintain organized project records and documentation.
  • Process warranty claims and coordinate parts replacements.
Project Coordination & Support
  • Assist with maintaining overall project schedules and timelines.
  • Communicate regularly with Sales Representatives, Accounting, and Sales Administration.
  • Obtain subcontractor and equipment quotes as requested.
  • Prepare subcontractor agreements and collect required documentation.
  • Coordinate delivery and installation schedules with customers, contractors, and installers.
  • Collect and maintain installation manuals, drawings, and maintenance documentation.
  • Monitor installation changes and communicate updates to the sales team.
  • Coordinate engineered drawings and color approvals.
  • Assist with resolving site-related issues and post-delivery discrepancies.
Project Oversight & Completion
  • Coordinate pre-construction site walkthroughs as needed.
  • Confirm site readiness, including layouts, base preparation, and photos.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for shipping, delivery, and installation timelines.
  • Prepare and process change orders with required approvals.
  • Notify accounting upon project completion and assist with invoice follow-up.
  • Compile and submit project close-out documentation, including warranties and compliance paper­work.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Attend trade shows, customer events, and training classes as requested.
  • Coordinate annual supplier and contract pricing updates.
  • Answer and route incoming calls on the company phone line.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
