Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a project expeditor to support the Rio Grande LNG initiative in Brownsville, TX, coordinating with suppliers, planners and field teams from the Houston offices.

You will interpret production schedules, prepare critical items reports, provide early warnings of delays, and drive on‑time delivery of materials and equipment, ensuring interfaces stay aligned across the project schedule. This role requires strong communication and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Interpret schedules to ensure milestones are realistic and interfaces maintained.
• Strong oral and written communication with project and supplier personnel.
• Familiarity with LNG and/or petrochemical plant processes (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs complex expediting activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Contacts suppliers for timely submission of engineering data and progress updates.
• Interprets production schedules and progress reports to ensure timely activities and proper interface.
• Coordinates with planning, field material coordinators, and expeditors to set priorities and delivery dates.
• Expedites engineering data review, approval, and return by suppliers.
• Participates in pre- and post-award meetings to discuss schedules and potential issues affecting shipment dates.
• Coordinates shipping arrangements with project Logistics.
