Job summary

Piping Technology & Products, Inc. is seeking a Project Expeditor in Houston to track materials, drawings, fabrication, and shipments from order entry through delivery.

The role collaborates closely with Project Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and QA to identify risks and keep milestones on schedule. Responsibilities include maintaining logs, coordinating with vendors and customers, expediting critical items, and producing clear progress reports.

Qualifications

• The candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Supply Chain, or Business or equivalent experience.
• At least two years in project expediting, coordination, procurement, or production-control in manufacturing or related industries preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track assigned projects, purchase orders, materials, drawings, fabrication activities, inspections, and shipments against schedules.
• Maintain expediting logs, milestone trackers, open-item lists, and status reports with current information.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality Control, Shipping, vendors, and customers to keep activities moving.
• Identify schedule risks, material shortages, overdue items, and bottlenecks; elevate to Project Manager as needed.
• Expedite vendor drawings, materials, and subcontracted services to meet delivery dates.
• Coordinate priority and rush orders balancing project needs and production capacity.
• Prepare progress reports and participate in status meetings; document action items and close them out.
• Support shipping readiness with inspections, documentation, and release requirements.
• Communicate professionally with internal teams, vendors, and customers; perform additional duties as assigned.
